Kelvin Cave Ltd hold the sole UK agaency for the Cressoni maize header - to the best of our knowledge the only maize header imported into the UK
We have chosen this range because the design has been well proven over many years, particularly in the States, where vast acreages of grain maize are grown.
The model range covers from fixed 4 to 12 rows or a folding version of 5 to 9 rows (see right). When folded the header is within the width of the combine for road travel. The head can be folded from the cab.
The optional stalk blade chopper cuts the stalks 3 inches from the ground and after going through the stalk rolls, chops the residue into small pieces, obviating further tillage work
(see picture right). The blade is protected by a freewheel to mitigate damage. Each row unit has an independent hydraulic clutch to prevent overload and breakages in adverse conditions. The deck plate is also hydraulically adjustable to allow for a down crop.
The Cressoni will fit any make of combine, and if global warming continues, you may like to know these headers also tackle sunflowers.
