Kemira Crimpstore: the proven crimping preservative

More than 90% of the crimping market: safe, pleasant
to use, economical - and does what it says

• The proven preservative for ensiling moist crops

• Maximises nutrient retention in the clamp

• Controls aerobic spoilage during feed-out

• Safe and pleasant to use

Crimpstore 2000S is a unique, patented blend of organic acids designed specifically to preserve moist crimped grain, and other feed crops, enabling farmers to be self-sufficient. The preservative is added during the crimping process using a Korte or Murska mill.

As undisputed market leader in the British Isles, Crimpstore 2000S maximises nutrient retention in the clamp and controls aerobic spoilage during feed-out. If ensiled with correct compactness and exclusion of air, a sweet smelling, nutritious feed which can be fed year round will be obtained.

Safe and pleasant to use, Crimpstore 2000S-treated crimped grain can significantly improve animal performance. Beef and dairy farmers have shown that, where required, greater amounts of crimped grain can be fed without risk of digestive disorders - and the reason why was established by Reading University in February 2001.

Crimpstore Premier for the organic farmer

The organic farmer can now use Crimpstore Premier which complies with UK and EU organic standards.

This carefully formulated blend of permitted organic acids gives a rapid drop in pH in crimped grain, minimising the nutrient losses associated with biological fermentation.

Crimpstore Premier is highly effective against the yeasts and moulds responsible for aerobic spoilage.

The superior digestibility of ensiled crimped grain results in better utilisation of its latent energy.

Better use of home grown grain and reduced reliance on bought-in feeds are two of the advantages of crimping for organic livestock farmers.
